Besan Chilla

Besan Chilla

Quick, light, and bursting with flavor — Besan Chilla is India’s answer to the perfect breakfast or snack. It’s wholesome, protein-rich, and gets ready in under 15 minutes. But here's what truly sets it apart — cooking it in pure ghee from Savaria The Doodhwala.

That one spoon of ghee gives you:

  • A crisp edge

  • A rich, nutty aroma

  • And a flavor that makes you want more!

🧈 Why Use Ghee by Savaria The Doodhwala?

Made using the traditional Bilona method, this ghee isn’t just fat — it’s flavor, purity, and nostalgia in every drop.

  • 🥄 Prevents chilla from sticking & breaking

  • 🌿 Adds earthy warmth and deep desi aroma

  • 💪 Boosts digestibility — even when eaten on an empty stomach

  • ✨ Makes every bite golden, crispy, and wholesome

🥗 Ingredients:

  • Besan (gram flour) – 1 cup

  • Onion – 1 small, finely chopped

  • Tomato – 1 small, chopped

  • Green chili – 1, chopped (optional)

  • Coriander – handful, chopped

  • Turmeric – ¼ tsp

  • Red chili powder – ½ tsp

  • Ajwain (carom seeds) – ¼ tsp

  • Salt – to taste

  • Water – to make batter

  • Ghee by Savaria The Doodhwala – for greasing and cooking

👨🍳 How to Make It:

  1. Make the Batter
In a bowl, mix besan with all veggies, spices, and water. The batter should be pourable, like pancake batter — not too thin.

  2. Heat & Grease the Pan
Brush a non-stick pan or iron tawa with Savaria The Doodhwala ghee and let it heat.

  3. Pour & Cook
Pour a ladle of batter and spread gently into a circle. Cook on medium flame. Drizzle a little more ghee around the edges.

  4. Flip & Crisp
Once golden on the bottom, flip and cook the other side until crisp and cooked through.

🥣 Serve With:

  • Green chutney or ketchup

  • Curd and pickle

  • Or roll it with paneer stuffing for a quick chilla wrap!
