The Story of Savaria The Doodhwala
- From a Hostel Longing to a Movement with Purpose
Every big dream begins with a small longing. For Yash Garg, that longing was the taste of his mother’s pure ghee during his hostel days. While studying engineering away from home in Haryana, every meal felt incomplete without that spoonful of love, purity, and tradition.
One summer, sitting at home, he shared this with his younger brother Rakshit. Together they asked: “If we miss this so much, how many others are missing it too?” That thought became the seed of Savaria The Doodhwala.
With Yash’s late-night freelancing in design, video editing, and game development, and Rakshit’s careful savings, the brothers invested everything into their first gaushala. They personally designed their first jar of ghee – churned by hand, packed with care, and sold it door-to-door. Days were spent in the fields, nights building their first website – no work was too big or too small. It was never just a business. It was a dream to bring tradition back home.
The response was overwhelming. Families said the taste reminded them of their childhood. Encouraged, the brothers bought their first wood-pressed oil machine and expanded – each product carrying the same promise: pure, slow-made, free from shortcuts, just as nature and tradition intended.
The Story Behind the Name
When it came to naming their dream, the brothers wanted it to carry both faith and familiarity.
• “Savaria” was inspired by Shri Savaria Seth Ji of Chittorgarh, Rajasthan, India a form of Lord Krishna who is worshipped as the protector of purity and prosperity.
• “The Doodhwala” came from the timeless image of the neighborhood milkman – the trusted face who delivered honesty, nourishment, and care to every home.
Together, the name became a symbol of divine blessings, pure tradition, and everyday trust.
More Than Just Food
From the beginning, Yash and Rakshit believed every jar must also carry hope. A portion of every purchase supports:
• Education for underprivileged children – because no child should be denied the chance to learn.
• Cow care & gaushalas – ensuring calves drink first and cows live with dignity.
• Women empowerment – creating livelihoods for rural women who handcraft our products.
• Community causes – from supporting local farmers to standing against hunger, poverty, and inequality.
For us, purity is not only in the product – it is in the purpose.
Today, Yash builds the brand online, shaping its story and presence, while Rakshit is the backbone of operations, ensuring every batch is crafted and delivered with love. With a small team of friends, the two brothers continue their mission not as entrepreneurs, but as sons of the soil, carrying forward India’s traditions while serving society.
